"I also use a skill known as "Brainspotting" in many of my sessions. Often a person's challenges are expressed in subtle and/or obvious ways. A tragic event, a fear, or a troubling circumstance can show up in multiple ways. Brainspotting is a way to help someone process through their difficulties with attunement, eye position, bilateral sounds, and body sensations. The results are incredible! I am Certified in Brainspotting and a Consultant for Brainspotting."

"People intrigue me. Each one is special, generally good at heart, always interesting and definitely worth helping."

I’ve been known to have “itchy feet,” and have lived a diverse life with time spent in California, Europe, the Midwest, and finally Colorado. I’ve lived in small towns and larger cities. I’ve been both a teacher and homemaker.

But one thing has been a constant. My whole life, people have told me their secrets. I have always been the sounding board for all my friends’ challenges in life. That calling led me to a career in counseling.

As a California transplant to the Midwest, I learned first-hand what it’s like to struggle to find a place in Midwest society. After 20 plus years I settled in. Now, I bring my experience to Grand Junction, Colorado. I look forward to using my perspective to help clients navigate their everyday lives. I work with people who have trouble letting their amazing personalities shine through while at the same time acting within what feels like a constrictive society.
